Sweet Vanilla Buns

This is a very different and delicious recipe. You need a lot of patience to prepare this. I saw this in a blog spot a long time ago. I wrote down the recipe.The original recipe can be viewed here. I have tried it twice and both attempts had succeeded. I would like to share this with you. Prepare it and have it with hot coffee. It is so so so delicious.





The Recipe:
Ingredients:

For the dough:
Milk-1cup
Vanilla extract-2tsp
Melted butter-1/2cup
Instant yeast-2tsp
Salt-1tsp
Maida-31/2cups
Sugar-1/3cup

For the filling:
Melted butter-1/4cup
Sugar-1/2cup
Milk-to coat the buns

Procedure:
1.Take warm milk in a bowl and add vanilla extract to it. Add sugar and butter and mix well. 
2. Add 1cup maida and yeast to it. If using dry yeast then take 1/4 cup of warm milk and add yeast, 1/2tsp salt to it. Close the bowl and allow yeast to rise. When yeast is frothy add it to remaining milk and flour. 
3. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of flour on a flat surface and add the sticky dough and another 1/2 cup of flour on top.
4. Knead it. When the dough becomes sticky add some more flour. Keep kneading till all the flour is incorporated into the dough.
5. Now knead it for 10minutes. The dough should be elastic and soft.
6. Coat it with oil. Coat a large bowl with oil and place the dough inside and cover it with plastic wrap.
7. Keep it in a warm place to rise.
8. When the dough is double the size take it out and knead it to release air. 
9. Divide the dough into four. Then divide 1/4th dough into four so that you get 16 pieces.
10. You need 4 pieces for 1 roll. Roll out one piece into thin rectangle. Apply butter and sprinkle with sugar. 
11. Keep another rectangle on top. Coat it with butter and sprinkle sugar.
12. Add two more layers. Do not brush the top layer with butter.
13. Roll this into a bigger rectangle. 
14. Now firmly roll this rectangle and pinch the seam to close.
15. Repeat to make three more rolls.
16. Now cut each roll into 6 triangles(see photo tutorial for details).
17. Arrange the pieces on a greased cake tin and cover with plastic wrap.
18. Allow it to rise for 2hrs. Brush the top with milk.
19. Preheat oven to 180`C.
20. Bake the buns for 20minutes or till the crust is golden brown.
21. Cool it on wire rack an serve it with tea or coffee.

Keep in an oiled bowl and cover with wrap

Let it rise to double the size

Cut it to two


Cut each portion into 3

Roll one ball, apply butter and sprinkle sugar

Top with another layer

Repeat for 4 layers

Roll it tight

Cut into 6 triangles

Arrange in a greased tin
Let it double
